Ms. Pattamon Mekavarakul (MUIC Class of 2009) Ms. Pattamon Mekavarakul majored in Travel Industry Management and graduated with Second Class Honors. She obtained her Master’s degree in Advertising and Design at University of Leeds, UK. She is part of her family’s business, serving as Vice President of Cape Dara Resort, a luxury five-star hotel located in Pattaya. Under her management, Cape Dara Resort has attained global recognition. Cape Dara was among the Top Ten in the Best Beach Hotel Category—having received votes from Chinese tourists—and was given the People Choice’s Award Thailand for two consecutive years, in 2016 and 2017, by the Tourism Authority of Thailand. In 2017, Cape Dara Resort also received the Golden Kinnari Award in the Tourist Accommodation category at the 11th Thailand Tourism Awards organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Her renowned resort was given the “Luxury Romantic Hotel Country Award” at the 11th Annual World Luxury Hotel Awards 2017 in Switzerland in the same year.
