A Mahidol University International College (MUIC) alumnus, Mr. Raja Asvanon, was recently awarded the Chevening Scholarship to pursue a master’s degree in Environment and Sustainable Development at the Bartlett Faculty of Built Environment (‘The Bartlett’), University College London.

Mr. Raja, who obtained a BA major in Social Science (International Studies concentration) degree in 2015, worked in a major real estate corporation in Thailand, performing a leadership role in corporate planning and sustainability development with a specialization in climate change adaptation.

Out of 1,000 applicants, only 27 were chosen for the grant this year, including Mr. Raja. Chevening is the UK government’s global scholarship program that offers future leaders the unique opportunity to study in the UK. These scholarships are awarded to outstanding professionals from all over the world to pursue a one-year master’s degree in any subject at any UK university.

The Bartlett is ranked 1st in the world in Architecture/Built Environment in the 2019 QS World University Rankings by Subject.
